Does Red Bull Cola Contain Cocaine?

Reports coming out of Europe and the EU suggest that Red Bull Cola has been been pulled from shelves in Germany after testing positive for trace amounts of cocaine.

The bans were instituted last Friday, where it has been banned from shops because of concerns over possible drug law violations.

Red Bull said its cola is "harmless and marketable in both the U.S. and Europe." It said similar coca leaf extracts are used worldwide as flavoring, and a test it commissioned itself found no cocaine traces.

According three different studies reported in the New England Journal of Medicine, researchers say that they have identified a fat, known as brown adipose tissue which plays an important part in how the body metabolizes energy.

The brown fat, or good fat, is stored near the neck and collar bone, and in one's back. These recent studies show, that thin people seem to have more of the brown adipose fat, which helps them to burn more energy. One of the studies shows that the good fat appears to create heat as the temperature drops.

The has led scientists to view the obesity problem form a whole new position.

Tuesday afternoon Anchorage, Alaska shook from a 4.7 earthquake (Richter Scale). The quake occurred not long after a plume of ash erupted from Mt. Redoubt. The epicenter of the Alaska earthquake was located 16 miles north of Anchorage and 9 miles northwest of Eagle River.

George Kell, Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer passed away at 86. Kell played in the majors in 1943-57. He was with the Tigers in 1946-52, when he was traded to Boston. With the Red Sox, he became teammates with Ted Williams, widely regarded as the greatest hitter ever -- and the man whom Kell edged in 1949 for the American League batting title in an excruciatingly close race, .3429 to .3427.

David Letterman finally marries Regina Lasko after all of this time.

David Letterman, 61, told his audience Monday that he married his longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko, 48, on March 19 in Choteau, Montana. The couple’s son named Harry, 5, was also at the ceremony.

Letterman stated how he didn’t think he would ever marry. “I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years,” he said during the Late Show taping, “and I … secretly felt that men who were married admired me, like I was the last of the real gunslingers.”

After Dave finally made the decision to go through with the marriage, fate didn’t seem to be on his side. On the way to the courthouse, their truck got stuck in the mud.
